Dan Bubb received his MA in history (2001) from UNLV, and his interdisciplinary Ph.D. in history and political science (2011) from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a former commercial pilot who has published articles on commercial aviation and airport histories in a variety of academic journals and magazines. In 2012, he published his book, Landing in Las Vegas: Commercial Aviation and the Making of a Tourist City (University of Nevada Press). Currently, Dan is an Associate Professor in Residence in the UNLV Honors College. He also serves on the Interview Board at the Kirk Kerkorian UNLV School of Medicine, and advises several Registered Student Organizations among which include Alpha Epsilon Delta, Nevada Beta Chapter, and the pre-professional American Medical Student Organization.
Mike Chin has earned graduate degrees in creative writing from Johns Hopkins University and Oregon State University. He is an Associate Professor in Residence in the UNLV Honors College, where he teaches courses on literature and writing, and he is the author of seven published full-length books, including the novel My Grandfather’s an Immigrant, and So Is Yours (Cowboy Jamboree Press 2021) and his most recent short story collection This Year’s Ghost (JackLeg Press 2025). He advises student organizations including Alpha Epsilon Delta, Nevada Beta Chapter, the pre-professional American Medical Student Association, and Honors College Creative Writing Club.
